Psionandy asked if I had tried using an external microphone to make an audio recording with a Pocket PC. Most Windows Mobile Pocket PCs and Smartphones do not support using an external microphone to make audio recording (although they do support it for phone calls). However, I do have one Pocket PC that does provide this feature: An old Dell Axim X50v Pocket PC. The first segment of this recording was made using the Axim's internal mic. The second segment use a wired dynamic mic plugged in to the headphone jacks. You can hear a couple of drop-out in that segment. I'm not sure what caused it.
